Outdoor Reset - Heating Controls for Hot Water Boiler Systems

These two user-friendly energy management controls are filled with money saving features.  The Model NR203 is designed for the majority of boiler types found in 15 to 100 unit apartment buildings.  The Model RD1430 series is well suited for most apartment building sizes from 4 to 30 apartments.  The NR203 features data logging and modem communications not found in the RD1430 series.  Remote space temperature sensors may be added to either model.  Optional software can be ordered for the NR203 to learn the outdoor reset curve form the remote space temperature sensors.  A selection guide can be found on our Model RD1430 brochure.

The Models NR203 and RD1430 are the only hot water boiler controls on the market with our patented proportional night setback that lowers the amount of night setback as outdoor temperature decreases. This virtually eliminates the risk of frozen pipes on cold nights and provides greater savings than "parallel shift" and "optimal start" controls.  Increasing water temperature setback when it is warm outside and decreasing it when it is cold can achieve fuel savings in the range of 5 to 15%.  When proportional setback is combined with outdoor reset, 10 to 30% fuel savings can be projected.
